Mercersburg, PA - February 13, 2008. After significant research into cutter bars, Tuscarora Designs, Inc. has received two patents on novel bars. Now, it is possible to have a cutter bar that permits chain, bar, nose, and even length change without lifting a tool!

The Excalibar I™ and Excalibar II™ cutter bar families are viewed in the industry as significant incremental improvements, but the customer will see them as revolutionary. This will make marketing easier as several of Marketing’s 4P’s (Product, Place, Price, Promotion) are readily accomplished by their look and feel in various implementations.

Further, it provides the opportunity for a new business model. It opens the door to the Gillette© 'razor blade' model wherein the core lasts forever and the proprietary wear components are replaced on a regular basis as prompted by a wear indicator.
